Climb 4 the Fallen: Tucson 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb

The 2nd Annual Tucson 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb will take place on 9-15-2013, at 5151 E Broadway Tucson, AZ. 343 Firefighters will climb 110 stories to remember the 343 FDNY firefighters that made the ultimate sacrifice on 9-11-2001. Firefighters will climb in full turn-out gear weighing up to 70lbs. The "climb4thefallen" is a way for Tucson and our surrounding areas to help the many still in need from the terrorist attacks in 2001.

The money raised has helped FDNY provide counseling programs, 24 hour hotlines and many other forms of support. 15,000 people have seeked help from the programs provided by FDNY since 2001, with this number on the rise.

What FDNY Provides:

30 counselors (Civilian)
4 Psychiatrists
14 Adminastration Support
50 Peer Counselors (Retired FDNY Fire Personnel)

NOT PAID, ONLY REIMBURSED FOR TRAVEL TO AND FROM FDNY FIRE STATIONS

9-11 by the numbers

Average of 3,228 family members each year recieve help
Approx 700 children lost fathers
Approx 480 of these children were school age when they lost their fathers
64 FDNY personnel have died since 9-11 for complications of being at ground zero
100's remain sick after being at ground zero
128 still unidentified
