David Lee Roth, born October 10, 1954 in Bloomington, Indiana, is an American rock singer and former frontman for Van Halen. Known for his energetic stage presence, Roth was the band’s lead singer from 1974–1985, 1996, and 2006–2020. In 2007, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
